The Young Ghostbusters: Curse of the Plant Ghost (Episode 1)

Summary: Three young scientists are kicked out of science school for studying the paranormal. Then they decide to catch ghosts. They buy a haunted plant from the nursery, which causes bad luck.

Plot:

Three young scientists: Anthony, Samuel and Miko, are expelled from science school for studying the supernatural. The genius of the group, Samuel, decides to invent some ghost fighting equipment. Sam shows his inventions to Anthony and Miko, and soon they find out they have to go to church and the nursery. They thought a plant might help them capture ghosts. After church, they go to the nursery, and find a small tree. Back home, they wonder why the owner of the nursery had said the plant was cursed. Then the plant starts bleeding. In the kitchen, cupboards are opened mysteriously, and fish in the aquarium have died. Then Miko starts to bleed like the plant did. He appears to be dying, and becomes a hideous plant fiend. Anthony duels with the once living being and pins him down. Sam rescues him with some of the ghost equipment, changing Miko back to normal. The plant really was cursed because of the bad luck. Sam finds readings of evil, ectoplasmic energy on the tree. Anthony explains that the ghost used to be some evil spirit trapped in the plant. They break the spell by sucking the ghost out of it with the Young Ghostbuster theme song playing. They congratulate themselves in triumph.
